Romeo Ugalde, also known as The Midnight Perverts, Bodyslide, and many other projects, has been pushing the sound of Mexican electronica for over fifteen years now. His latest release under the new Neims sub-label, Bad Manners, shoves it to Leftfield House by cranking the volume up to 11: welcome to the Break It Down EP.

First up is the original mix, where you will find e-scratches, dark alley vocals, and roaring synths. The breakdown is pure elfin madness!

Next, you will find my favorite: the Zombies in Miami mix. The name speaks for itself: you will need a killer subwoofer system to fully appreciate this track. It is pure sub-bass all over with electronica dripping sounds - not for the faint of heart. Until you hear the arpeggiated synth kick in, you know this track was definitely made for Fabric Club.

Finally, this is the live acid mix, a 4/4 more floor affair, drawing on some of the elements of the original mix, with an acid bassline that sounds totally as you would imagine a mindf*ck should sound like.
