Making his debut on the label, The Fallen Sound Theory aka Slade Templeton—an award-winning record producer and engineer based in Bern, Switzerland—is a multi-genre maestro. Reserving his The Fallen Sound Theory moniker for his emotive electronic outings, this two track EP sees Slade traversing contemporary incidental dramatic soundscapes with strident synthesis. A cavernous departure into classic CS-80 territory, “Komorebi” is a clinic in early 80s suspense posturing, that preluding into a rallentando of spatial decay. Fanfares of generative pads and choirs lay the foundation of “Moonglade”, developing into a metallic ensemble of strings as classic poly-brass tones cascade over a melodic CV-triggered bass arpeggios dissipating into a capitulated oblivion.
