First up is 'Voyager', with an extremely fitting title, this track takes you on a wonderful journey through a plethora of different emotions. At the heart lies a deep groaning bottom end and pacey shuffled minimal percussion. It comes with a deliciously snappy kick drum which pierces through warm, uplifting string progressions. A dynamic orchestral techno masterpiece, driving and beautiful in the same breath. A gift which keeps on giving, yet still leaves you wanting more.
'Eternal Life' Is up next, bringing along airy melodic textures and incredibly detailed modulation in the mix. A slice of peak-time gold, the track works through ethereal chimes and strong pads alongside sharp, delayed claps to create a huge sense of euphoria, real smile-inducing hand's in the air business.
Lastly we have 'Black Note'. Opting for skippy, electro style kick programming Wells creates a mystical builder ready for the dancefloor. The polyrhythmic placement of mallet percussion introduced in the second half of the track forces an incredible arp-like communicative groove between parts, making it a real joy to listen to.
Fantastic stuff from the French native!
