Joeflame Returns again with more summer heat.
Shadow Dancer is a Smooth Spoken Word Flava featuring Rescue.
Growing up in Paterson NJ , born with a pen in her hand, a house beat of a heart beat and
a poetic rhythm in her spirit, Rescue found her poetic voice at an underground Open Mic
in Jersey City in 2006. Since then, Rescue has been fortunate and honored to perform in
New York and New Jersey with a variety of talented Spoken Word artists at such venues
as Louder Arts, Capicu and Poetry in Pink. Rescue founded Just Add Sound, a monthly
open mic taking place the 2nd Wednesday of each month at The Warehouse Caf%uFFFD in
Jersey City, where she currently resides, as well as the founder of JC Opens Up the Mic,
a collaboration of participating open mics/poetry venues throughout Jersey City.
Combining her love of House and Spoken Word, Rescue recently founded Rescue
Poetix%u2122, an umbrella under which several budding projects, including recording Spoken
Word to music, fall under. The idea for this project came when she was featured on
Journey (produced by Deeja Raines) in 2010.
Rescue lives by the belief that it is critical to build strong rather than fast and that the
foundation of all great things takes time to get it right.
