Rising Dutch talent Gerbert Vos returns to Roush to kick start August as he delivers his first EP on the label. Arriving straight out of Amsterdam’s bustling scene, Gerbert Vos has emerged as one of the latest names to take note of throughout the Netherlands and beyond. With recent appearances within Amsterdam at the likes of the cities notorious Straf Werk and more, plus material on label’s including Simma Black and of course Roush where he has contributed to both the 2018 Sonar Off Sampler and their ADE Sampler in 2017, here we see the Dutchman release his first full EP on the label in the form of his EP ‘Sopongo’. Title track ‘Supongo’ opens the package in style as Vos employs infectious vocal chants alongside slick drum licks to form a rhythmic and rolling groove, before ‘Freaks In The Streets’ combines wicked bass licks skipping hats and infectious vocal samples throughout. Lastly, Vos’ ‘Savor’ strips things back and shifts the focus on percussion as he lays down a series of groove-heavy drum fills, spiraling synth lines and driving kicks to conclude the EP. Gerbert Vos ‘Supongo’ is out on Roush on 6th August 2018.
