In 1988 Michael Sanchez (a.k.a. Mike Balance) discovered electronic music in Houston's underground club scene at the age of 14. Mike got turned on to the industrial/experimental sound and obtained a copy of "Blubberknife" and was inspired to make some noise of his own. "That's why I relate to disco-house so much because its kind of based on the same idea as all those old tape loop experiments. Find a crazy part of a record, loop it, and fuck with it!". Mike Balance had his first official release on Soul Phusion titled "Gotta Make It Happen" with Smitty & Eric Davenport that was followed up by his second release "Star Trunk Funk" on Insight Recordings in 2002 which received major recognition on dancefloors and DJ charts worldwide… and this was just the start! 2003 brings even more promise to Mike Balance's bright future ahead of him with original productions scheduled for release on labels such as DJ Dan's new Stereo imprint as well as Stone Bridge's Stoney Boy Music. Rest assured its only full speed ahead for the roaring production engine that is Mike Balance!
