Down Jazz is a fresh imprint from New York City with a deep connection to Detroit and all things funky. What started as an electronic house record flipped upside down when we arrived in Detroit to record some live grooves at the famous United sound (home to Motown). The artist team was led by Parliament Funkadelic musicians and a few friends who played with Prince, Mary J Blige, Public enemy & Aretha Franklin.

Down Jazz is an artist collective made up of talented musicians, DJ's & graphic designers . All music is created live. We love neo-soul, nu-jazz, house, rock, R&B and all sounds electronic.
