Joseph Longo aka Pal Joey's charismatically clever approach to crafting his fluid and always fun experiments with making beats—in between DJ at clubs and slanging records at Vinylmania—has seen this native child of NYC's amalgamated downtown scene of the late 70s and early 80s offer up major contributions to the many modern genres, with his highly-influential releases spanning the last three decades, defining the sound of one of New York City's more definitive production periods.
