AUTOCHTONE
'Autochtone' is the French word for ‘Autochthon’ a word with origins in the Greek mythology, where it was used to name a child born without any parents directly from the Earth. Today it’s an identity term used in the fields of Ethnology or Biology to define ‘local’, ‘indigenous’ or simply, ‘originary from’. It’s opposite would be Allochtonous… The French ‘Autochtone’ has inspired us (Morrocan Brussels resident Rachid Moro (Airem) and Spaniard Berlin expat Fernando Daxta) to present a new field of audio explorations around the tones of techno repetitive (auto) music, going deeper into our common musical roots while we meet alike producers from other corners of this metaphysical land we call ‘Techno’.
