Ananda Project Recordings, the new label started by renowned producer Chris Brann and partner Katja Gowin, is dedicated to cultivating and releasing music from the sphere of Ananda Project and associated artists. Although it may seem cliché in our increasingly yogacized culture, the sanskrit word Ananda literally translates as 'bliss'; and with that idea, Ananda Project has released 8 albums and countless singles and remixes in the past decade, including underground classics 'Cascades of Colour' and 'Kiss Kiss Kiss' Brann has always sought out a highly personal and intimate expression in deep house music, and collaborating with vocalists and musicians who share his enthusiasm for space and emotion has led to a sound that is more subtle and nuanced than most. "To us, we deeply feel what House Music means on a personal level. It's our intention that our records act as a medium so that universal, creative energy can speak through them".
