BERNT

BERNT is a London-based French DJ, singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work exists at the intersection of haute couture and the raw energy of dancefloor culture.

Deeply rooted in the fashion world, he's soundtracked runway shows and collaborated with some of the industry's most iconic names like Jacquemus, Kiko Kostadinov, and Ludovic de Saint Sernin across Paris, London, and Milan—Yet beneath the glittering surface it was a dark beginning for BERNT.

The origins of his artistic pseudonym are rooted in heartbreak—his Parisian flat became the site of an unthinkable tragedy when his two flatmates—BERNT's closest friends—met a violent end while concealing their relationship. Immersing himself in music to process this trauma redefined his perspective on love, friendship, and loss.

While studying classical music at the Conservatoire, BERNT channeled his grief into hammering nails into grand pianos, transforming their pristine tones into broken, cinematic soundscapes. These experiments became a lifeline, merging raw emotion with sub-heavy dance rhythms long before critics like Wonderland or Variance Magazine took notice.
This duality defines him and his project: crafting a soundtrack for a lost Lars von Trier film one moment and producing a song for Rihanna the next.

His EP Honey & Grace, produced for Busiswa, blends house, amapiano, and electronic R&B—a love letter to dancefloors that oscillates between Berlin's club fog and Johannesburg's golden dawns.
