About MODLAR

Modlar is a Music Producer, DJ, and percussionist from Italy, based in London. Shaped by classical piano lessons and African Latin percussions in her youth, experiments with synthesizers and Ableton years later illuminated the path to becoming a producer and DJ, influenced by artists such as Ben Böhmer, Tale of Us and Ellen Allien.

With a mission to overcome the scars carved by a tough past and difficult experiences, her music and daily meditation practise keeps a strong mindset and a still mind, sending a vivid message to her listeners and reminding them of the powers hidden inside each of us. Activism is also an integral part of her life and work, supporting LGBTQA rights and the fight against sexual harassment in the Music Industry.

With her debut "Digital Daydreams" about to drop on Hottwerk Records, she has created her own sounds characterised by uplifting vibes and distinctive modulations, yet embracing also a melancholic and fragile sound reflecting the sentimental atmosphere of Modlar's world.
