About BERWICK

Berwick is a Bristol-based DJ, producer and NOODS resident whose sound sits at the intersection of rave energy and leftfield exploration. Moving fluidly through tempos, his sets and productions weave ambience and euphoria into sharp-edged electro, techno and breaks.

He co-founded Somnamubla, a DIY party series showcasing live electronic acts and DJs, and his releases have gained wide support from the likes of Bambounou, Solid Blake, Lena Willikens, Anastasia Kristensen, Nikki Nair and Breaka. His track Physical Spaces (SSS Records) has travelled across major stages, played by Mor Elian at Draaimolen, MSJY at Dekmantel, Lena Willikens at Houghton, and Bambounou during DGTL's Boiler Room. His follow-up on More Cowbell picked up spins from Blumitsu, Re:ni and Lena Willikens, and was premiered by Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC Radio 6.

Berwick's live sets bring drum machines and modular synths front and centre, channelling raw electro and techno with squelchy acid lines and tough percussion. He's played live for RINSE FM, warmed up for Eris Drew at Westival, and delivered full analogue workouts at Madruga Festival. Recent releases include appearances on AVOIDANT alongside Kerrie, DJ T-1000 and Bloody Mary, and on Pressure Dome's 5th Birthday V/A with a high-speed, bass-heavy contribution.

With new music due on Deadbeat Records, Nervous Records and Cyphon, Berwick continues to push his distinctive sound further. His recent sets include closing CRACK Magazine's Bristol party alongside Batu, Blawan, LCY and Modeselektor, while his studio work now places him in the orbit of electronic heavyweights like dBridge on Radioactive Man's Jam Out The Mix remix project.
