DRUN
DRUN, the artistic name of Júlio Monteiro, is an Angolan DJ, music producer, and remixer focused on Afro House, Afro Tech, and Deep Tech. Born and raised in Namibe, Angola, he discovered an early passion for music — especially House Music, which would later define his artistic journey.
In addition to his work as an artist, DRUN is the CEO and founder of Kabetula Records, an independent label dedicated to promoting authentic and innovative sounds rooted in African culture.
In April 2018, DRUN and his label released their first compilation, titled "Afroevolution", marking an important milestone in his career. That same year, he released his EP "Ancestral & Ruturn" through the labels Guettoz Muzik and Eque, which helped him gain visibility in both the commercial and underground electronic music scenes.
With talent, consistency, and a clear artistic vision, DRUN is quickly becoming one of the rising names in Angola's Afro House scene, with growing recognition on the international stage.
