ANOESIS

UK based electronic music producer Howard Dodd grew up in East Sussex and has operated under the Anoesis moniker since 1994.

After moving to London and playing keyboards in various London based bands, Howard began releasing dance music as Anoesis on the D*fusion label. There he picked up a steady global following, particularly in the US where the Anoesis releases became dancefloor favourites on the experimental breaks scene.

Continuing interest in his 90s work from the likes of Maceo Plex led to reissues of Anoesis and Oxidation recordings on Semmi Sellang (Budapest), Cosmic Soup (London) and Spray (Berlin). More recently new releases on Cosmic Soup, Paper-Cuts and now Cyphon Recordings have returned to the intensity of house music, cut up beats, and nods to cinema and soundscapes.

Howard has been involved with remixes from and for Bassbin Twins, D. Tiffany, DMS12, The Nextmen and Organic Audio, and was also a member of Tongue (with D&B artist Klute), and the field recording duo Howard Dodd and Keith de Mendonca.
