DEFINITE GROOVES

This East Yorkshire (UK) based duo of Andrew Eggleton and Danny Hird are definitely no newcomers to the house scene, having been making and spinning tunes since way back in the 90's.

For Andrew it all began with the watershed moments of receiving a Commadore Amiga for Christmas 1991 and a first visit to a local rave. The perfect storm of these two events gave the teenager the sampling and partying bug instantly.

Fast forward to 2001 and after meeting up with friend Danny Hird, Definite Grooves was born. The first track they sent off, 'Nothing Like The Sound', was signed to the legendary Dtension record label, owned by Full Intention. Following releases continued to snowball with major support from Radio 1 stalwarts Danny Rampling and Pete Tong.

The boys went on to perform at The Ministry Of Sound,
Global Gathering andMiss Moneypenny's.
Danny has been a permanent fixture of line-ups for Deja-Vu in Hull – one of the longest running house parties in the UK.

Then a long hiatus on the production front as family and work took precedence over making music. That is until recently…

Back in the game again Definite Grooves have rediscovered their mojo and got straight back into making infectious, quality house music. Their come-back release on Cleveland City 'Love Belongs To Me' was supported heavily by BBC Introducing, charted on Traxsource and led to a comeback show for Café Mambo in their hometown.

With releases with the ascending imprint Another Rhythm, Italian House music heavey weights Groove Culture and Dutch giant, Armada Records. All tracks demonstrating the boy's musicality, dynamism and proof that it's never too late to throw down a great tune.
