SAMCHE is a music producer and DJ whose rich soundscapes and melodies transport listeners on an emotional journey between the organic and electronic. Embracing organic, afro and melodic house, his recent three-track EP release with Elastic Dimension Records, entitled Mudun, uses actual soundscapes to pay homage to the nostalgic beauty found in three Middle Eastern cities. His other releases include melodic house tracks, All That We Got, Rising and Falling, each with uplifting vocals and featured on music blog top releases, as well as Stay Far Away, inspired by pandemic quarantines and described as “harmoniously balanced and dreamy with purpose… an inspiring dreamscape we doubt you’ll want to leave.” Stay tuned for an upcoming EP release with Inward Records.

Much of his early music drew inspiration from his career as a humanitarian worker, and his first tracks were composed while based in conflict zones and on the road near the frontlines of war, using equipment suitable for on-the-go travel and making it past military checkpoints. His debut album featured Umi Yemen, employing instrumentalization of real life data on how many civilians were killed or injured each day through 2018-19, layered with self-recorded samples of fighting in Sana’a – a reflective journey into the heart of Yemen and the cost of conflict. The track has been described by bloggers as “an emotional dance track,” with “gunfire, sadness and loss all in the track… work[ing] as a piece in its own right, without the weight of the background” and “ignit[ing] a message [that] through sadness we must find moments of art, possibilities and heartful expression.”
