About HOORAA

Hailing from Appleton, WI, and growing up on mostly rock and hip hop, Hooraa discovered the world of electronic music shortly after returning from a deployment in 2010. After spending a few years in the community and experiencing the culture, February 2014 he started spinning at OB's Brau Haus in Appleton after being invited to an open deck night and was instantly hooked. Since then, Hooraa has held multiple residencies around Wisconsin's Fox Valley and Green Bay while playing in bigger cities including Detroit, Chicago, NYC, Dallas, Tampa, etc. and sharing the stage with artists such as Jerome Baker, Lester Fitzpatrick, Frankie Bones, and many more. He's played at numerous regional festivals, including the renowned techno festival Even Furthur. Hooraa was named the 2018 Cajokai Midwest Rising EDM DJ of the year, the only DJ to receive that award. In 2019, he began to focus more on techno production and has since been signed to UKR Special Series, Electronic Union Records, Chicago Jaxxx, Mastoid Kollective, miniTek Records, Equation Recordings, Mind Burn Recordings, and Filth Infatuated Digital. Some of his releases have been on another download site's Hot 100 release charts. His jacking style can be described as dark, hard, raw, and acidic with some ghetto flair designed to make you sweat and move on the dance floor.
