Hailing from beautiful Oman, considered to be the richest in nature and culture among the other middle eastern countries, is where Maitrai's musical journey began.
From djing at various private parties, he had the relentless need to find art in music and a way to deliver it to his listeners.
While graduating from Switzerland, Maitrai quickly took it upon himself to acquaint himself to the plethora of genres available and find his true passion which would undeniably become electronic dance music.He matured his taste and delivery as these would become his years of refinement.
Closely working and touring with some of the biggest artists as an artist manager and seeing some of the biggest festivals in Asia go up from scratch until break down, he learned resilience and affairs of an events company from behind the curtain. Scheduling for some of the biggest clubs in India he quickly garnered a following for his unique sound of the deep underground. 
Now he is hosting is own podcast/nights in Muscat called "wunderground” which focuses on downtempo/oriental & tribal sound.
He also currently holds a residency at one of the only beach clubs in Muscat, he curated a brand "Beats By The Beach" with the likes of Tube & Berger,Joyce Muniz, Juliet Sikora, Will Taylor, Eli Rojas, Mathais Mayer, Albert Neves, Krystal Roxx, Abel Pons and more.
