2019 is set to be a be quite a ride for Avalon resident, Roukin. His latest release Game Plan is a collaboration with Hobbs (UK) on Reptile Dysfunction. Next up will be his own EP Walk With Me on the Los Angeles label Understated.

Roukin has an encyclopedic knowledge of House Music having been playing since 1994 when he first touched a Technics 1200 turntable in a garage in Southport, UK. He was hooked by the early sounds of warehouse parties brought home by his older brothers and weekly visits to Cream, Liverpool, Sankeys Manchester and many other UK clubs throughout the 90s. In the early 2000’s he played up and down the UK including his own party, Fluid at The Room in Hull.

Always evolving and pushing out of his comfort zone he curates a sound of punchy, groove driven house music spanning Disco, Jackin House through to Tech House. His sets are played across 4 decks and a sampler, packed full of his own self produced loops and accapellas creating a sound all of his own that led to his current residency at Avalon Hollywood. He has since played with the likes of Erik Morillo, Eelke Kleijn and Hernan Cattaneo and will be launching his own party in May this year. He will return to one of his favourite clubs Flash in DC on April 26th

In 2017, he launched his party – VOLTAGE – The Pop-up Nightclub – a platform for local DJ talent wherever it pops up – and he has smashed the first four parties .

Roukin hosts a monthly radio show, LA Underground, recorded in his Los Angeles studio, where he is now based.
