PAWEL KOBAK

Pawel Kobak: DJ; producer and flute player; founder of Route 33 Records that was nominated for a Swedish Grammy award in 2000 and 2001.

Pawel started as a musician, DJ and club promotor in his hometown of Stockholm, Sweden in the early 1990's and had his first record released in 1995 on Fluid Records. He went on to release music on labels such as i! Records, Defected, Romb, Metamorphic, Oh!, Astrolife, Wrongsteps and Manuscript.

From his first release to the present day his style has remained consistent: a distinctive and unique blend of grooving House with soulful elements meshed in with deep, techy ingredients. His disparate range of disciplines and influences bleed into his music nicely, it seems.

Pawel also releases acoustic ambient and neo classic music under the name Pawel4000 and in the group Marhia.
