About ROMAX
Romax first stepped foot on Lebanese soil 19 years ago, reasons relatively unknown. Sure, there are some myths (there's word of some divine intervention that's particularly enthralling), but to find out you'll need to speak to the man himself.
And that is something that is well easier said than done. You see for over a 19 year spread Romax has been leaving his mark on the famed Beirut massive, one dance floor at a time. From illegal raves in bombed out warehouses to plush Mediterranean soirées and private rooftop ragers, this Dutch selector has done it all.
In the quiet of night, you might catch the sonic hermit in his beatcave where he's busy crafting up the kind of material that the likes of Get Physical, Wiggle London and Feedasoul Records have already taken note of. Or have a listen to his weekly radio shows 'The Weekender' and 'Soul Sessions' that's been getting the feedback it deserves for 11 years straight now.
As a former Überhaus resident at both Gärten and DSCTK, Romax quickly became a local favorite in a city where the nights are alive with sweat and smoke, where music is as much about survival as it is about freedom. This no nonsense mystic is an intuitive party maker shaker of sorts, always creating an experience resonating long after the last track fades.
