About SAMTROY

Samtroy is a New Zealand-born, Japan-based Tech house/Deep Tech artist and a graduate of the renowned Toolroom Academy. His music has seen support from the likes of Mark Knight, Don Diablo, Chris lake, Nic Fanciulli and Kid Massive.

Djing since 2002, he has played in countries such as; New Zealand, Australia, Vietnam, Japan and The Netherlands. After relocating to Japan in 2012, he quickly became a fixture in Japan's club scene; supporting artists like Mark knight, Dosem, David morales and Yotto: Djing across Japan in clubs such as, Tokyo's world famous Womb and Fukuoka's legendary underground club Keith Flack.

He began producing in 2013 and in 2020 he went full time as an Artist. In 2023 Samtroy graduated from the Toolroom Academy Masterclass with D.Ramirez as his mentor.
2024 was a "level up" year for Samtroy, putting out 10 records for the year. Starting with a release on Toolroom Trax's Leaders of the new school album, reaching #42 on the Tech house top 100.
He has released on labels such as:
Toolroom Trax, Loulou records, Get Down Recordings, Housetribe Deep, Camel Records, Arm Records, Fleshtones, Ultra Flava, Mosaic Sound system, Bbop and Hypnosis.

He is an artist to watch in the coming years.
