About PHAZED GROOVE
Phazed Groove is music producer/musician and DJ who hails from Scotland, whose real name is Brian Hope.
Starting his journey into music from the late 1980's and winning the DMC Scottish mixing championships in 89 and 90 with his love of scratching and cutting, following this led to a year residency in Gran Canaria but he wanted to return home and learn how to make his own music and so he become self taught on keyboards and moving from the buzz of the crowd through DJing he moved into music production, teaching himself all aspects of production over the years which led to signing with Scottish record label Limbo Records in 1994, with his first release on the label "Live In Peace" under the name Tocayo which featured a (legal:)vocal sample from Brothers in Rhythm and having had various vinyl and CD releases with Limbo, he also did some Disco fused 10inch vinyl releases under the name "Funk Fiction".
Through Limbo he also did remixes for Positiva Records and Spirit Records alongside various others.
Brian also remixed the massive Ibiza classic "Mystery Land" for Nebula Records when it was released with a new vocal in 2003 alongside DJ Colin Tevendale, one of the big Scottish DJ's who's residency was the Tunnel nightclub in Glasgow. Having had various vinyl releases through the 90's he then returned to his love of Disco and Funk working under the name Phazed Groove and more recently having done many tracks with Tropical Disco Records, his first release in 2019 was "It Must Be Luv" which was widely received and had support from the likes of Marshall Jefferson.
Brian has also moved on to having his own label "Karbon Records" which has seen his releases gaining support from the likes of Louie Vega, Dave Lee Jr, Michael Gray, DJ Meme and Dr Packer among others.
