Confidently stripping 'Deep Chills' back to the bare essentials, So Pink Mafia indulges in softly sweeping synths and padded arpeggio runs, layering them across of padded basslines and muted percussion. Refusing to fall prey to the 'drop' trap, he gives the production room to breath and swell, creating a gently rolling soundscape that undulates back and forth amongst the deeper registers of Deep-House music. 'Stars Feeling' sees the Lausanne-based artist switch from initial warm piano sections for colder, tripping percussion as the track progresses, layering both across a sweeping blanket of muted bass melodies. Displaying an instinctive understanding of how to build energy bit by bit, piece by piece, 'Stars Feeling' is a welcome foray into the techno genre by So Pink Mafia. Around since the early 2000s under his Sam Da House alias, So Pink Mafia returned to the scene in 2012 and has gradually reinstated himself as one of the country's most electrifying musical artists. Drawing on the sounds of Deep House and Techno, his style has grown and evolved over the past half decade, maturing and settling into a super rich vein of production set to hit the music scene across the latter half of 2018.
