Time for a maiden voyage on our NoExcuse Limited imprint from one of Chile’s finest exports, none other than Kled Baken. This debutant EP from the Santiago based producer comes bearing the gift of melodic groove and bags of personality, added to that is some top-notch remix work from James Dexter & Andre Butano.

Getting things rolling with the lead track ‘If Ya Don’t Know’, a melodic groover with an authentic Deep flavour. Kled masterfully fuses different styles together to create an atmospheric track, laying the perfect foundations to set the pace in any performance.

Following on nicely are remixes from James Dexter and Andre Butano, James’ remix is another perfect representation of his signature sound adapted perfectly for NoExcuse. This track is comprised of the perfect balance of strong drums, elegantly swung percussion and vocal cuts with an impressive amount of space creating reverb that really opens it up and creates plenty of room for you to dance into.

Andre Butano’s remix is cut from a different cloth, sporting a raw and gritty feel with plenty of analogue presence. A strong and rumbling low-end bassline throughout drive you from start to finish on a journey featuring twisted samples, pulsing synths and hints of Techno-inspired percussion.

Completing the release is Kled’s ‘Crypto Moon’, a chunky and melodious track that will have you bobbing your head fairly quickly. Kled has rounded off the EP with a piece of music that builds continuously for its duration, it passes fluidly from a climatic build up to full-bodied drop effortlessly on several occasions. The standout use of tonal toms and other percussive drum elements really gives this one its own identity and closes the show perfectly.
