Alexandros Djkevingr, and Greg Ignatovich are veterans of the Greek underground scene. They both have significant DJ and production histories as individuals, but since stepping into the studio together, they have exploded onto the global scene. They have previous releases on some of the titan labels of the industry, Diynamic, Suara and Elrow amongst others. Their releases have garnered massive support from the A-list DJ’s as well, and with names like Solomun, Coyu, Danny Tenaglia and Oliver Koletzki all giving their seal of approval, we can be sure these guys are doing something right!
Dancing Bear is a pushing mainroom track that comes out guns blazing from the get-go. Riding a line between techno and peaktime tech house this energetic monster starts out with punchy 16th hats and a pulsing analogue hook that form the backbone of the track together with a thumping kick. The syncopated bassline provides still more energy and while it remains deep and tucked in for the most part, it occasionally opens up to reveal the epic acid riff that is contained below the filter cutoff.
Label mainstay Leonardo Gonnelli is on remix duty and turns in a stellar rework. This version keeps the vibe of the original but presents it as a groovy tech house roller. Leonardo illustrates his studio prowess by manipulating the original elements in creative ways which help to make his masterful rework both cohesive and unique at the same time.
