Marc Montano & Eric Barnes are one of the most exciting DJ/production teams in House music today. Their original tracks have garnered much acclaim and popularity in the club scene and mixshows. Their debut tracks, 'Late Night', 'For The Love Of House' and 'Need You Now', have become club favorites and a staple in many House DJ's crates.
The duo started as New York DJ's who, even though they traveled in the same circles, never met until a few years ago through a mutual friend. That spontaneous meeting would spawn a lasting friendship and DJ partnership. They started a popular weekly mix show called 'Saturday Nite Vibe' which they still broadcast to this date. The show is an outlet where they debut their unreleased tracks and just have the opportunity get deep into the vibe with house music.
Marc 'Spice' Montano is known throughout Long Island and NYC for his club and radio appearances and residencies. He is most noted for pioneering mixshows on Satellite, Internet, and major market Long Island broadcast radio for SIRIUS, Strong Island Internet Radio and106.1fm WBLI respectively. Just prior, Marc appeared as a guest on Hot 97.1, Z100, and 103.5 KTU with his previous remix/editing team The Amigos. With remix credits which include artists Taylor Dayne, Cynthia, and Abby Lynn, He was also a reporter for Billboard Magazine.
Eric Barnes (born Eric Scott Barnes, Queens, New York) is a DJ, house music producer and a founder of the east coast-based DJ crew, The ImperialDJs. It was during the formation of The ImperialDJs that he met his friend and production partner, Marc Montano.
Within a few years of this meeting, Eric and Marc began producing house tracks under the name Montano and Barnes. The pair use their extensive knowledge of music and DJ experience to produce what can only be described as infectious, original house music with vintage appeal. Dubbing this style Long Island Sound.
When these two House Music pioneers get together this time, you get the 'Set It Off EP'. Four original tracks with all the bangin' goodies you would expect.
