Through Drum and Bass, Fadi Mohem became inspired by electronic music from a young age. Since then, he has built up an extensive stylistic portfolio that has no genre boundaries. With the Reckless EP however, a first cut can only be tested out on the dance floor.
The fact that his debut single simultaneously marks the first catalog number of the new label of the Berlin event series, Werk, is actually consistent with the same sphere of emerging producers ready to step up and challenge the old guard.
"We Are" and "Reckless" are uncompromising Techno. Both pieces are extremely aggressive and captivate with drifting synths and styled drums.
A and B sides stand for two basic structural orientations. While the former takes over the voluptuous part, Fadi Mohem rages on "On The Run" a more two dimensional domain. The extraordinarily dense sound-lines unfold with a suction effect, which envelopes the listener as if in a cotton wool. You won't shake the feeling that the dark pads breathe.
The record marks a first notch on the bedpost, both for Werk and for Mohem himself.
