"Need Dat" is the debut single from Heatrøck creator MixMason.
With influences ranging from Danjahandz to Africa Bambaataa to Wax Motif, his goal is (and always has been) to bridge the gap between hip-hop and 'club' music. Uptempo joints that feel more hip-hop than EDM. More underground than trap. Raw yet catchy. "Need Dat" aims to be the start of this genre-bending endeavor for the artist.
The collaboration with newcomer A.Tibbz came about during one of MixMason's frequent trips back to visit his family in Boston (from LA). The two literally met and recorded this song in the same night! MixMason also collaborated with DC-based Misk on the production.
