Tech-tonic techno vibes come alive with Hybrasil on Glorify.

Hybrasil was born less than 12 months ago in an unknown location somewhere off the coast of Ireland, but for a live act who just celebrated his first birthday, Hybrasil has been busy. Last summer saw him perform a series of live shows on the legendary Space Terrace, alongside acts such as techno-midwife Juan Atkins and Visionquest's Ryan Crossan & Lee Curtis, as well as live performances with Sven Vath on his world tour, and at Jeff Mill’s sold-out orchestra show in Dublins’s Bord Gais theatre last October, there has been no time for Hybrasil to learn to walk or talk in his first year on earth. It's been all about the techno.

Hybrasil delivers three awesome tracks here for his debut release on Kenja: 'Glorify' is all about warm, straight ahead big room techno beats. In 'Kepler' a doubled up bass line is joined by some proper piano tech that filters in and out to deliver another solid shaker. 'Rubot II' has a little more swing in the groove and purpose in the beat, as warm acidic synths hover and detune, all a wash with eerie fx. Finally, Rhymos gets his mitts on 'Glorify' offering a deeper, warm yet chunky option that would work at anytime of the night.

Hybrasil has just announced new dates that include being part of the Pure Carl Cox 2017 summer line up at Privilege, Ibiza and to perform live at the Forbidden Fruit Festival in Dublin alongside KiNK & Maceo Plex. People like Richie Hawtin (Rubot II has been a fixture in Richie Hawtin’s sets, featured at Awakenings & Sonar), Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Dave Clarke and Alan Fitzpatrick are taking regular notice.
