Rising talent Jody Barr continues to stick to his guns in self-releasing tough, nonsense free UK Techno via his own imprint Portable Minds. So far he has released 3 titles and has welcomed in Phantasy affiliate Kamera for a remix but now he returns another solo record - 2 tracks of bold and uncompromising club music titled ‘Rainbow Engineer’.

The title track starts things off and sees Barr use minimal elements to great effect. An entirely analogue setup is used in weaving armoured drums, a thick sub and a hallucinogenic synth riff into a cold, stoney banger. ‘Swedish Subtitles’ then follows up with more startling analogue effects that set lasers and darting synth tones over another solid selection of drums.
