'Azure', originally created in Blackpool by Toka and Portugeuse DJ / Producer Luis Del Costa (AKA Magazino), has been one of the most successful tracks on Bosh Recordings. Released on vinyl back in 2002, it was an instant underground hit. Around this time, Toka was regularly visiting Portugal for gigs at the legendary Paradise Garage in Lisbon, amongst others, and made a number of lasting friendships. It was on one of Costas return visits to England when they began making tracks together as Elephunk. They also released an EP on Barcelona based label, Minifunk, as well as an exclusive track on the official Sonar CD in 2003. Since then, a new breed of Portugeuse producers has surfaced and the vibe is well and truly alive.

Fragoso is one of such new producers who has carved a name for himself on labels such as Household and new Portugeuse label Home Made. He has quickly developed his own deep, emotive take on tech house. Here he teams up with his sidekick, Whitenoise, for a heavier rendition ... a deep groove with snappy beats, thick layers and sprinklings of melodic keys.

Pedro Goya on the other hand is a long established and prolific artist in his own right, with releases on such labels as Poker Flat, Elements and Troia. As a duo, Costa and Pedro Goya have previous releases on Brique Rougue, Classic, Music for Freaks and Exun. Their remix featured here was released as a limited vinyl release on their own Bloop imprint. It's a deeper, stripped back take, using the theme more subtly atop a pummeling sub bass groove.
