Debut release for RA journalist Dan Petry using the moniker Ged. The Dry River ep is an accomplished first outing that fans of Drexciya, Dave Clarke and Objekt should investigate. Ged's sound is rooted in Detroit Electro, early rave, 90s Warp sensibilities and the gorgeous electronica palettes of Manchester's Skam label, most notable on early Boards Of Canada and Bola's work. That is to say kicking drums, dark brooding undercurrents and delicious soundscapes. Definitely worth checking.
