Following Moonbeam's 'Sunset', Markomm's 'Soprano' & Darren Duvall's 'My Control', the 4th release comes courtesy of Portugal's D-Lux, aka Carlos Cardoso. Having been exposed to the culture of house music since 1998 via influences such as Underground Sound of Lisbon and the Funky Green Dogs, it's Carlos's close personal connection with Ready Mix artists Markomm and Kourosh Tazmini that allowed for his gradual evolution as a producer in the studio since 2000. The results of his efforts surfaced in 2007 with his first official release on Slanted Black Records. D-Lux presents a very different & deeper affair for Ready Mix's Green Dot brand entitled 'Smooth'. And, it is indeed a relaxing easy listen with its rolling bassline, atmospheric pads, hypnotizing vocals and enchanting organic flute floating throughout. This interlude confirms Carlos's ability as to not pigeonhole himself to a certain genre or sound and announces his arrival on the scene with this old school sounding, west coast flavored deep house track. The remix is offered courtesy of Philadelphia-based Pete Moss. Needing no introduction, Pete is simply known for his signature delivery of notorious deep house sounds presented on prime house labels such as Ovum, Siesta, Earthtones/Seasons, Alola and his own Recline over the past decade. Having been licensed to feature on countless compilations, Pete has also had his music remixed by the likes of Satoshi Tomiie, 16B and most recently Stan Kolev. He continues to receive worldwide attention and acclaim for his entire discography and timeless body of work. Perfectly tuned in to the Green Dot frequency, we are thrilled to have Pete Moss on board as he once again neatly delivers with accuracy and plenty of love. His remix of 'Smooth' is filled with rich, warm sounds and a dreamy vocal that gently eases its way into a full-on groove that will have you swaying.
