Like any good story, the story of Field Records has been one that comes in chapters. After three excellent full length projects from Kartei, L'estasi Dell'oro and D.Å.R.F.D.H.S., the label moves forward with a three-part selection of solo artist EPs from Staffan Linzatti, Szare and Isorinne in the coming months.

The first chapter in a series of three EPs to come from Dutch label Field Records is from Swedish producer Staffan Linzatti. Getting inspired by watching people on the move, Linzatti constantly tries to push his own limits and is a regular on labels like Synewave and Stockholm LTD.

Linzatti opens up with 'Madness', an otherworld bit of ambient and then explores icy, hypnotic techno from the outer edges of our galaxy on 'Lost' and richly melodic, angelic and heavenly electronics on the deep space affair that is 'The Only Thing Greater.'

Clearly a producer with a passion for details and for marrying diverse genres into new forms, he continues with the high speed Millsian techno of 'Control Room Failure', which is riddled with spaceship communications and distant sonar pushes. 'Who Knows Where To Go' continues to race through the cosmos with serene pads and hurried rubber kicks and closes out on the aqueous puddles and float light atmospheres of 'What Is Affecting Who'. Overall, this is space music of the highest order.
