Receiving its first play on Huw Stephen's Radio 1 show earlier this week; Trinidadian singer Tabanca injects a dose of pop vitality over Gent Mason's strumming, electronic beats with Lagoon.
Embodying the mainstream pop qualities of acts like AlunaGeorge but still keeping a big toe dipped in the underground, Lagoon that evoke timeless days spent effortlessly floating down a mythical lazy river, never dragged under with the sun on your face at all times.
With an indulgent instrumental intro and outro, its an energetic chill out session tracing the lines of love in deep water. Set for release on November 6th, the 'Lagoon' EP also features an instrumental version plus remixes from Otik & Vehda (absolute roller), Soccer96 and Warren XcInce.
Debut single by Tabanca.
