UNI015 Sees label boss Ki Creighton join forces with Long time friend and local lad Jamie Roy to bring us 2 tracks in the shape of Outerview & Suspension.
Lead track Outerview is a heavy slice of deep melodic house reminiscent of the Visionquest sound, Hypnotic rhythms bounce of the cut up vocal to give off a very cool and current sounding landscape. breaking the track the lads layer a rising key that seems to lift the spectrum and airs the track out fully. fans of Seth Troxler & Maceo Plex will have a field day with this.
Ki enlists long time friend and Circus Recordings kingpin Yousef on remix duties for Outerview and it looks like we have an early contender for a DC-10 anthem on our hands. Yousef takes the pace of the original up a notch , utilizing the vocal hook but pinning it down over a percussion led baseline. a haunting vocal is set up on a squelching acid undertone that rides the track into tech-house heaven.
Suspension appeared earlier in the year on the labels hugely received Miami sampler and now features here with a Heavyweight mix from the UKs current hot property Tom Flynn.
The Original is a pure sax laden house throbber. Again very current in production sounds with a Balearic summer edge. Warped out fx and a massive mid track break section pull you in and retain your attention throughout.
Tom Flynns mix is straight out of the top drawer and is a true Tech-house / House gem, built from a foundation reminiscent of the early house days , the baseline moves and your body grooves , Tom warps the samples through a very edgy key stab that just rises throughout the mix. the drum programming on this mix is outstanding and just seems to lift everything to new dimensions throughout. an amazing mix to close an another major package from Under No Illusion.
