The Bionics are a studio band consisting of Danielle Moore and Tim Davies (Crazy P) plus producer Ben Davis (Paper Recordings/Flash Atkins) joined by a shared interest in wonky dance music and robots. 'They Prefer The Disco' is a 4/4 stomper with a live distorted bass and cut up vocals but beware the DJ bear trap before the final section; there's breaks...and there's breaks! 'I Care' starts off with a deep hypnotic lo-fi loop with more than a hint of Carl Craig that is set off by Danni's heavily treated vocals. The track builds before relenting to the groove and chorus which then breaks down in the finest disco tradition. Novosoho is pure Balearic cosmic disco and you can almost feel the sand between your toes. Finally, the Flash Atkins mix of 'I Care' takes things deeper and darker with a bassline designed to blow speakers for those 6am moments.
