As a fresh face, Layton Giordani has been making all the right moves and hitting all the right spots. In this three-tracker he pushes the envelope further, as only the new generation knows how. The title track is a breathtaking builder, supported by rubber-band sub bass and a crackling rhythm section. As the track propels itself to greatness, sleek synth rises and mayhemic low-end rumble complete the apocalyptic picture. Things take a stomping turn on "LT6" with its discordant stabs leading the way over grinding hats, while cavernous effects tense up the atmosphere. "Catch Me If you Can" picks up from there with a snappy groove and off-kilter percussion. Subtle rhythmic additions add suspense to the affair and the chords nodding firmly to Detroit ensure that all Techno bases are covered.
