Exoplanet EP by British techno artist Proplyd 133-353 rests heavily on the exploration and findings of deep thought; concluding something that uncovers new ways of travelling to the moments that define a person. Event Horizon encapsulates the task of crossing the point of no return regarding self-exploration, expressing the magnitude of the feeling experienced in anticipation of the dissection of human thought. The title track of the EP represents total introspection and delves into living past experiences, as if the experienced present was merely a memory from decades ago. Cognitive Descent delves past the comfort zone and into limbo. It sits in an area of uncertainty and represents the deepest, darkest area of the human mind. It embodies internalised fear, anxiety and repression. This track is the seabed of the psyche, and as the track goes on, the sense of self-identity and purpose becomes brittle and crumbles, eventually dissipating into non-existence.
