The Void is not just an album — it is a document of survival, transition, and the moment when everything collapses and something else takes its place.

The title track, written nearly seven years before this release, was born during a period of extreme uncertainty. At the time, Wh1ch House? was two years clean, deep in mandatory drug court, watching a BMX career come to an abrupt end after a severe knee injury. Medical leave forced stillness. Stillness forced reflection. And reflection opened the door to The Void.

The song was written while living between worlds — leaving San Bernardino County under court supervision, relocating illegally to Los Angeles, and opening an after-hours techno and house club with his brother in the heart of Skid Row called The Flower House. It was there, in the liminal hours of the night, that the lyrics took shape — expressing the emotional and psychological emptiness of heroin addiction without ever naming drugs at all. The void is felt, not explained.

When summoned back to drug court, the truth came out. The judge demanded to know where he had been, what he was doing, and how he had survived. The answer was simple: music. A flash drive containing The Void was handed across the bench.

Probation was terminated. Drug court was canceled. Freedom was granted — not through compliance, but through creation.

That moment became the spiritual center of this album.

Across its runtime, The Void blends electronica, gothic atmospheres, techno, and shadowed club energy into something introspective yet physical — music for empty warehouses, late nights, and the moments when identity dissolves before reforming. It is about loss, rebirth, defiance, and the strange grace found in darkness.

This album exists because one song spoke when words failed — and because sometimes, the void listens back.
