Martinesque is a Basel, Switzerland based producer, DJ and a staple of the Swiss underground. Since his 2018. Collaboration with Perlon / Rush Hour artist San Proper ‘Beesle & the Beauty’on abartik, he’s gone on to deliver multiple EP’s and an album on Adam’s Bite where he makes a welcome return here with his latest two-tracker, once again showcasing his distinct sound that’sinfluenced by theroots of house and techno and straddles the lines between the two. ‘Memories’ leads the release and sees Martinesque fusing jazzy keys, airy synth tones and gritty bass stabs with expansive atmospherics and swinging drums. ‘Harmony’ then follows and employs raw, crunchy drums with a brooding, snaking bass groove, breathy vocal chants and hypnotic arpeggio melodies all dynamically evolving throughout.
