Making their debut as a collaborative force, Rosie From the Block & Ellis Aaron drop a sizeable AA side with ’That Somethin’ & ’Smile (On & On)’.

Steeped in high quality vibes you’ve come to expect from the label, Ellis’s velvety tones pair beautifully with Rosie’s sublime synthy-led soulful productions, ‘That Something’ a little more dance floor with ‘Smile (On & On)’ one for the later hour.

‘Rosie From The Block’ is a Brussels based multi-instrumentalist, composer, music producer and DJ. She’s inspired by Afro-American music from the 70’s and 80’s as well as black music from UK such as acid jazz, street soul and broken beat. Rosie’s music has caught the attention of names such as Reggie Watts, IG Culture, Lefto and Kaidi Tatham. With releases on labels like Vice City, Phuture Shock Musik and Boogie Cafe Records, plus a radio show on Kiosk Radio (Brussels) and The Boat Pod (London). Rosie’s performed in venues such as The Jazz Cafe and Rich Mix (London), Paradiso (Amsterdam) and Ancienne Belgique (Brussels).

Born and raised in Bristol (UK), ‘Ellis Aaron’ grew up in a musical family, being exposed to various musical instruments and genres, including gospel, jazz and classical. Often borrowing equipment from family, he sought to develop his craft, knowledge and ability to play instruments. With the influence of growing up in a family of singers, Ellis then started to focus on his vocal ability. After years of making music privately, he pursued his talents, following in the footsteps of his forefathers.
