Scream Soda is proud to welcome two seasoned underground talents to the label, as Jazzmik & Darren Marshall join forces for the three-track Serious Game EP.
With deep roots in the scene, Jazzmik cut his teeth in the late 80s and 90s as Beat Division, running the well-respected Groovphoria Records and previously heading Deep Groove Records, with releases on Bass Boy Records, 83 West, and Black House Records. Darren Marshall has spent over two decades shaping Toronto's house community, with music on Purveyor Underground, Frosted Recordings, and Mood Funk Records.
The EP is proper underground jackin house. Serious Game leads with tight, sample-driven grooves, No Slippin rides a smooth but relentless swing, and The Process closes with raw funk and dance floor grit.
