United Freedom Collective's latest release, Plant Spirits, emerges from deep listening and being in close relationship with the nature around us. Rooted in tradition, this EP brings collaborations from our plant teachers and maestros of the rainforest, with music that carries the quiet imprints of days spent in silence, solitude, dreaming into the connection with spirits of the plants.
Creation unfolds through relationship without force - learning directly from nature by tuning in, and listening with more than just ears. One track, received during time spent with the Elder tree after returning to the UK, reflects this ongoing thread of connection - honouring the teachings of the jungle while recognising that wisdom also grows close to home, in the trees and roots of our own land.
Plant Spirits reflects United Freedom Collective's wider ethos, to step out of the way and allow something older and greater than ourselves to move through. Music shaped by presence, an offering to the unseen, and a reminder of the many ways nature continues to speak.
