Nenad J. returns to Piston Recordings with his brand-new ‘Silly Dance EP’. The talented Swiss DJ and producer continues to impress with his signature blend of rich, atmospheric sounds and driving rhythms—bringing an energetic edge to the label’s catalogue. Beyond his solo ventures, Nenad is also one half of the dynamic duo Aux Couture, alongside fellow Swiss producer Erhalder. Since 2018, the pair have been making waves with a series of standout releases across respected imprints. In addition to producing and performing, Nenad curates the well-received Slackjackerz podcast and heads up his own label, Аеробик. We’re delighted to welcome him back on board with this superb new release.

‘Silly Dance’ is up first, delivering a punchy rhythm driven by chunky kicks, shuffling percussion, and a thick, plucky bassline that locks in the flow. Choppy vocal snippets add texture and character, keeping things lively and dynamic. In the break, a mesmerizing pad gently weaves through the mix, offering a moment of depth and atmosphere before the track drops back into full-on groove mode with renewed energy.

Next up, ‘Woof Woof’ sets a toe-tapping groove, opening with shuffling hats, sharp claps, and punchy kick drums. A playful, thick bassline bounces beneath the surface, perfectly complemented by rhythmic percussion that adds drive and movement. Cool vocal ambience lingers in the background, while cleverly chopped vocal cuts double up as a hooky riff—bringing both character and catchiness to this slick, dancefloor-ready jam.

‘Down Low’ concludes the release, introing with chunky kick drums, bright hats, and snappy claps, laying down a crisp and energetic foundation. Rhythmic percussion steadily builds the momentum before a subby bassline locks in and drives the groove. Cool vocal shots add flair and movement, leading into a break where plucky arpeggios take centre stage alongside the vocal before the beats drop back in to ignite the floor.
