There’s a European heatwave in full effect right now and UK producer David Lowe thinks there’s no better time to make the ‘floor burn with this debut release on Clarisse. A headliner at UK institutions Fabric and Ministry of Sound, and with the approval of the big four DJ’s DJs - Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Jamie Jones and Joseph Capriati - the London house master brings home a victory as a dancefloor avenger.

‘Baddy’ rocks and rolls in true Clarisse fashion, a fast-moving house shuffle smoking out the slow, dicing up swaggering rap vocals laying down their crime-paying credentials. Hot pursuit hip-house with a thud and techy edge to quench your thirst, getting heartbeats to race in time with the swing and sway of the bass.

Lowe then sticks up the dancefloor a second time and demands you ‘Make Your Move’; minimal vocal encouragement is needed as Lowe sprays the club with a whizzed up percussive mix - bass swoops rumbling in the belly of the beast - and sending listeners down a funky flume where the track’s effects, overlaps and controlled chaos rush past ears.
