Originally released on April 7th, 2014 via Suara, Kaiserdisco's 'Rex Cats' EP marked a powerful debut on the iconic Spanish label and quickly became a staple in tech-house sets around the world. Now, over a decade later, with the rights back where they belong, we're excited to bring this release back to life on our own imprint KD Music - fully updated with brand-new extended 'Revisited' versions.
The EP kicks off with 'Devon (Revisited)', an extended, club-optimized take on the gritty original. Raw, lo-fi drums, eerie atmospheres, and warped vocal chops remain front and center, along with the unmistakable 'I House You' vocal loop - a nod to the Jungle Brothers' hip-house classic. This new version stretches the energy further, giving DJs even more space to work the floor.
On the flip, 'Oregon (Revisited)' brings the heat with an updated arrangement of its rolling TR-909 groove, spaced-out FX, and hypnotic vocal chant. The extended format intensifies the tension and drive, turning this into an even more potent peak-time weapon.
Whether you loved the originals or are discovering them for the first time, these updated versions show that 'Rex Cats' still has claws. This isn't a nostalgic throwback - it's a rebirth, rebuilt for modern floors and bigger moments.
