Domenico Crisci meets a true Neapolitan techno OG.
It all kicked off in '96, when Davide dropped his first release on Marco Carola’s iconic label, Design Music. From ’96 to ’98, he held down a residency at Bologna’s underground stronghold Livello 57, where he also joined forces with the techno trio Random/Noize, tearing up live sets and pushing boundaries.
Around the same time, he co-founded two raw, no-frills techno imprints-Informale and De Styl-while also putting out tracks on influential labels like Audiodrome, Zenit, and of course, Design Music.
From 2000 to 2005, Davide dove deep into minimalism with Defrag Sound Processing-not just a label, but an open-source sonic experiment. It brought together like-minded artists bonded by a shared love for distortion, disruption, and DIY noise culture. That same outsider ethos became the backbone of the Defrag DSP collective.
